ABOUT
The AALM has for the better part of the last 40 years attempted to make members and residents aware of approved and published federal regulations for the lake which include certain speed zones as well as the towing hours as well as marking dangerous places on the lake where rocks and sandbars can cause damage to boats, kayaks, canoes and windsurfers
Mandate
Place and maintain required buoys, more recently in coordination with the municipality.
Activities
Primarily in the spring and fall the required buoys are placed and removed. Buoys are updated and replaced as required with some assistance from the municipality. These activities are carried out on a volunteer basis with specific people taking on responsibility for various locations.
