Valdurn Manitou Trek

Blessed with perfect fresh snow conditions and sunny weather, the annual Valdurn- Manitou Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe trek on Feb 17, 2024 was a great success. Forty-two participants (half from Manitou and half from Valdurn) participated in the 8.5 KM community event.

Everyone admired the snow-covered valleys, mountains and Lac Cornu and Lac Manitou spread  below them, when they got to the top of the Cornu-Manitou Ridge. Gliding down from the ridge to the forest below over powder snow was a special delight that brought smiles to everyone’s faces.

They all revelled in the warmth of the gathering that followed at the Prupas home in Ivry as they sipped hot chocolate and tomato tarragon soup (supplied by Le Caveau). The day was a testimony to the tradition of friendship and community that has been built between Valdurn and Ivry residents.
