There is a consultation process about the appropriateness of mining in Quebec that is being undertaken by the Quebec Ministry of Natural Resources. There is a survey that they have solicited public participation for as well as a series of online public hearings that they are going to hold in the various regions, including the Laurentien.
To register for the consultation you need to fill in the form by Monday, May 1st. The session for the Laurentians is on May 15.
As many of you know, there are over 30 mining claims that have been registered in Ivry and we are all anxious to make sure that these claims cannot result in mines being built near our homes.
