Quartette Choquette in Concert

Quartette Choquette is the latest musical venture of chemin Fyon residents, Sylvie Choquette and Jody Golick. Backed by Mark Kennedy and Gordon Adamson, they’ll be performing a late afternoon concert on Thursday July 30th at 66 Chemin du Vieux Club. It’s a show you don’t want to miss. Sylvie Choquette - Diving Duck Blues

A singer-songwriter and bassist, Sylvie is well known in the Quebec music scene. She was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2017 for co-writing the beloved Québécois song Si j’avais un char. When in Ivry, you’ll find Sylvie kayaking with her friends, the loons.

Saxophonist Jody Golick is a seasoned veteran of the Montreal jazz and blues scene. In addition to his long long tenure with the Stephen Barry Blues Band, Jody has played with Kate & Anna McGarrigle, Maria Muldaur, Otis Rush, Toumani Diabate, Downchild Blues Band, Elvin Bishop, David Wilcox, Willie P. Bennett, Fred Penner and dozens of others. When in Ivry, you’ll find Jody walking on chemi Fyon or in the kitchen cooking up something delicious.

Both accomplished musicians in their own right, Sylvie and Jody have teamed up to bring Quartette Choquette to Manitou audiences for an intimate outdoor concert that you won’t forget. Jody and Sylvie will be joined on stage by Mark Kennedy (guitar) and Gordon Adamson (drums).
